Fleming County is a small rural county nestled in the Northeastern hills of Kentucky, surrounded by rolling farmland and hillsides boasting of beautiful color, especially in fall. The area has become home to many Amish and Mennonite families because of the rich and fertile land. The City of Flemingsburg takes pride in our beautiful city with brick paved sidewalks and acorn shaped lamps. It is reminiscent of times gone by and a simpler way of life. Golf, fishing, camping, swimming, tennis, hiking, hunting, and boating are all available. Simple pleasures can also be enjoyed by taking a late-night stroll around the town square. Fleming County is home to 3 beautiful historic covered bridges, the most well-known being, the Goddard White Covered Bridge. Fleming County was also the home of Pfc.
